Built to Last

As we step boldly into 2026, there is a phrase burning in my spirit that I cannot let go of. I believe it is prophetic for you, for your family, and for every believer who refuses to quit when life shakes them.

When Jerry went home to be with the Lord, our lives changed overnight. His passing touched our ministry, our church, and our family in ways that brought so much unknown and real questions.

I found myself having to lean into God in ways I never had before. And as I did, He proved Himself faithful time and time again. His comfort, presence, and peace have carried me every step of the way – and they still do.

Over the past year, I’ve leaned on God’s guidance and comfort more than ever. Each time I sought Him, His presence met me with a peace that only He can give.

What do you do when tragedy strikes? Where do you go when life is falling apart and your future is uncertain?

Peter reminds us where to anchor our hope in difficult times: “All humanity is like grass, and its glory like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of the Lord stands forever.” (1 Peter 1:24–25 AMPC)

Everything in this world is fleeting, but God’s Word remains unchanging. It is the solid foundation that never cracks under pressure and the steadfast anchor that holds firm.

No matter what challenges you faced last year or what obstacles come your way in 2026, I declare with confidence: you are BUILT TO LAST.

You are not a quitter. Your greatest days are still ahead, and God’s plan for you and your family is far from finished.

You are being shaped and strengthened by the eternal Word of God, and that Word will never fade, never weaken, and never crack under pressure.

Everything else in life may shift, but His Word stands forever. When you choose to stand on it, you become built to last.

Jesus said it plainly, “Whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock… and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it did not fall.” (Matthew 7:24–25 NKJV)

The world is filled with fear, anger, and confusion. While many search for stability, you and I already hold the answer. True strength doesn’t come from striving harder – it begins by building your life on the firm foundation of God’s Word.

In this new year, God is calling you back to the assurance and power of scripture, because His Word is your anchor in every storm. Nothing in your life is too broken, too late, or too far gone for the Word to rebuild.

As you enter 2026, you may be stepping into unfamiliar territory. I know what that feels like—but the same God who strengthened me is strengthening you. You’re not walking into this year weak or uncertain; you’re stepping in strong, built to last.

Let me remind you why the Word matters so much:

  1. The Word is your guiding light.
Psalm 119:105 says the Word illuminates the path in front of you. That means when you do not know what to do next, the Word will show you. When you cannot see the way forward, the Word will shine on the next step. David relied on this light in every season, whether he was facing giants or pressure or leadership challenges. You can rely on it too.
  2. The Word is your mirror.
James 1 tells us that the Word reflects our true identity. Life may try to convince you that you are weak or unqualified or alone, but the Word shows you exactly who you are. It shows you what God sees. And when you act on what the Word shows you, you walk in blessing.
  3. The Word is your spiritual sustenance.
Matthew 4:4 tells us that we do not live by bread alone, but by every word from God. Your spirit cannot stay strong if the Word is not feeding you. Amos 8 describes a famine of the Word, and I believe we are living in a world that feels that hunger everywhere. People are thirsty for truth, desperate for direction, and are starved for hope. But you do not have to live that way. You have access to the Word that brings life, clarity, and strength.
  4. The Word is the way faith comes.
Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing the Word. Every breakthrough you have ever experienced started with the Word. Every miracle you have ever believed for began with a scripture that lit up inside you. If you want stronger faith in 2026, you are going to need a stronger relationship with the Word. Your faith is built to last when it is built on His Word. are going to overcome, and you are going to finish strong. You are built to last!
  5. The Word is your foundation.
Jesus said the one who hears His words and does them is like a house built on the rock. Notice that He did not promise that storms would never come; He promised that the house would not fall. That is the promise I am holding onto for you this year. You are not going to fall, you are not going to be swept away, and you are not going to collapse under pressure. You are going to stand, you are going to overcome, and you are going to finish strong. You are built to last!

I want you to hear my heart: this is not the year to quit. Don’t shrink back, and don’t let discouragement or confusion talk you out of your destiny.

This is the year to plant your feet on the rock of God’s Word and refuse to move. There is a “no quit” spirit rising up in God’s people right now, and I believe it is rising up in you.

You have been through things that should have taken you out, but you’re still standing. You have faced storms that should have broken you, but you’re still here, stronger than before. You are proof that God’s Word is alive and working.

And let me tell you this: God is not done with you. No, not even close. What He started in your life He intends to finish. The same God who carried you through the last season is equipping you for the next one.

As partners in this ministry, we are stepping into 2026 together with boldness, with faith, and with a commitment to stand on the Word like never before.

I invite you to stand with me in renewed determination—stay connected, stay rooted in scripture, and align yourself with what God is doing through this ministry. Together, we will carry forward Jerry’s legacy, not by looking back, but by building on the same unshakable foundation he taught us to cherish: the uncompromising Word of God.
